Crypto Crow, also known as Jason Appleton, has demonstrated a hidden terminal inside Midnight City that appears to be connected to its agent deployment queue. The terminal contains a sequence of interactive maintenance tasks, and Appleton says users who completed the full process later saw their queued characters become active.

Hidden Midnight City Terminal Opens a Spawn Sequence

Appleton discovered the terminal among the objects available while customizing his room inside Midnight City.

Once placed and opened, the terminal accepts commands directly through its interface. Typing Q produces a clue stating that the queue moves when an agent is spawned, while the spawn command opens a menu containing several system tasks.

The sections demonstrated by Appleton include disk optimization, backup status, index status and cache health. Each presents a small interactive challenge. One requires users to align multiple channels inside a synchronization window before the terminal validates the backup.

Repeated failed attempts also affect progress. Appleton showed that errors can raise the terminal’s temperature until the user is temporarily prevented from continuing.

He had not completed the entire sequence on his own account during the video, but said other users who followed the process after he shared screenshots on X completed all of the tasks and subsequently unlocked their characters.

Midnight City V2 Uses Autonomous AI Agents

Midnight City is an interactive digital environment built around autonomous AI agents.

The redesigned City V2 allows users to customize an agent’s appearance, personality and instructions before deployment. Once active, agents operate without continuous human control and interact with the wider simulated city.

The environment also gives Midnight a way to demonstrate privacy-oriented infrastructure around autonomous software. Agents can receive objectives without exposing every underlying instruction or strategy to other participants.

Midnight is a privacy-focused layer 1 partner chain connected to the Cardano ecosystem. Its economic model separates the transferable $NIGHT asset from DUST, the resource used for network activity.

Registered $NIGHT generates DUST over time, allowing applications to operate without requiring users to first purchase a conventional gas token.
