Midnight Partner With Sig Network to Bring Privacy come Ethereum Apps
The integration lets applications retain access to Ethereum’s existing liquidity while protecting individual user records on Midnight. Assets remain on Ethereum without being bridged or converted into wrapped tokens.

Midnight Foundation and Sig Network announce partnership on October 28 to connect Midnight programmable privacy with applications wey dey run for Ethereum. The collaboration focus on signing infrastructure wey dey give Midnight smart contracts their own Ethereum accounts, so that private application logic fit direct transactions for public markets.
Sig Network still provide the signing infrastructure behind Nightmode. Dem tools dey available to other teams wey dey build on top Midnight, and the Ethereum integration dey run currently for Midnight Stagenet testing environment.
Private User Records, Existing Ethereum Markets
As the partners describe am, developers fit add one private pool join existing application while dem still keep the Ethereum-based infrastructure. User balances and identities go dey shielded for Midnight, while the application go continue to access liquidity for established trading and lending protocols.
One proposed use na private trading through Uniswap. Orders go offset each other inside one pool for Midnight, and na only the remaining net amount go reach Uniswap through one single Ethereum account. For lending matter, one pool fit aggregate funds and supply dem to Aave while e still maintain private record of each depositor share. Teams fit introduce these features small small, then later move extra functions like strategy and routing, enter Midnight.
How Midnight Contracts Authorize Ethereum Transactions
Midnight contract go first check the user request. One circuit wey dem write with Compact, Midnight smart contract language, go validate the operation, burn the corresponding shielded claim, and queue one Ethereum transaction. Required threshold of independent Sig Network signers go then produce standard Ethereum signature; no single signer fit authorize the transaction alone.
The operation go execute from the contract-controlled Ethereum account, and confirmation go return to Midnight so that dem fit update the user balance. Ethereum still dey publicly record the amounts and timing of those transactions. The privacy layer dey protect the individual ownership records and user information wey dey behind the account activity.

Application Controls and Stagenet Access
The partnership announcement still describe application-specific participation and disclosure rules. Each Midnight contract go determine which deposits e go accept, wetin information users must provide, and who fit access that information. Selective disclosure go allow authorized parties to inspect relevant records without to publish dem for the public network. Applications go maintain separate accounts, and existing Ethereum screening tools fit apply to those accounts.
Current Stagenet functionality cover deposits, Uniswap swaps, supplying assets to Aave, and withdrawals to Ethereum addresses. Developers fit import the Signet module enter Compact to queue Ethereum transactions from their contracts. The published example include one ERC-20 vault wey cover those operations, together with deployment tools and integration tests.
