Strike Finance announced that its Request for Quote feature is now live. The update allows traders to place larger perpetuals orders with reduced market impact by routing liquidity from external markets into Strike’s order execution flow, according to the project’s announcement and documentation.
Strike Finance Adds RFQ Trading
Strike Finance is a Cardano DeFi protocol focused on derivatives trading, including perpetual futures, options and forwards. Users can connect a crypto wallet and open leveraged trading positions through the platform.
The new RFQ feature adds a separate execution path for larger orders. Instead of relying only on available internal liquidity, the system requests quotes using external liquidity sources and presents execution through Strike’s trading interface.
According to Strike, the feature is already available in the app. The project said RFQ is designed for users who need to trade larger position sizes while reducing the price impact that can come from thin order books or direct market execution.
External Liquidity for Cardano Perpetuals
Liquidity depth is a central issue for perpetuals markets. If there is not enough available liquidity near the current market price, larger orders can move the price and produce worse execution for traders.
Strike said its RFQ system connects liquidity from external venues, including Binance, Hyperliquid and Lighter, into a unified order book experience. That structure is intended to give traders access to deeper liquidity without leaving the Strike platform.
For Cardano DeFi, the update is relevant because perpetuals platforms need more than token listings and basic swaps. They need execution infrastructure that can support larger trades, tighter spreads and more active market participation.
RFQ Becomes a Live Product Update for Strike
The RFQ launch gives Strike Finance a live product update rather than a roadmap item or governance proposal. Traders can now use the feature directly, while the project can begin measuring whether external liquidity improves execution quality and order size on the platform.
For $STRIKE, the update is tied to platform usage rather than short-term token price movement. The stronger metric will be whether RFQ increases real trading activity, especially among users placing larger perpetuals orders.
Strike has not yet published enough public data to measure how much volume is moving through RFQ after launch. The next useful indicators for $STRIKE will be trading volume, RFQ adoption and whether the new execution model helps Cardano attract more serious derivatives activity.
