SecondFi, the EMURGO wallet formerly known as Yoroi, reported on October 20 that its recovery tool had transferred more than 100 million ADA and 22 million NIGHT through successfully verified and processed requests. Following those transfers, the company plans to automate fulfillment through its recovery smart contract.
Recovery Figures Cover Completed Transfers
The tool opened on October 7 following SecondFi’s June security incident. Its reported totals represent assets delivered to destination addresses, rather than submitted or pending requests.
The update did not separate funds secured during the emergency response from compensation for assets taken by attackers. The aggregate figure therefore does not establish how much stolen property has been reimbursed.
SecondFi also did not disclose the total eligible balance still awaiting transfer. The recovery program is proceeding alongside the closure of SecondFi and Yoroi, with separate procedures for recovering affected assets and migrating balances that remain in users’ wallets.
SecondFi Plans Automated Fulfillment
The company plans to fully automate fulfillment through the recovery smart contract “in the coming days,” according to its announcement. It did not provide an activation date.
The published recovery FAQ currently advises allowing up to five working days for processing after a validated request is submitted.
Users verify control of an affected wallet, review the eligible assets identified by the tool, and designate a new Cardano wallet as the destination. Eligibility depends on incident records, relevant snapshots, asset availability, and the recovery terms.
Submitting a request does not confirm that verification or processing is complete. Transfers remain subject to those checks and applicable technical restrictions.

Midnight Allocations Remain With Original Wallets
SecondFi reported that it had contacted the Midnight Foundation about airdrop allocations associated with affected wallets. Under the applicable claiming arrangements, those allocations remain linked to the original wallets.
Recovering existing assets into a new wallet consequently leaves the destination of future Glacier Drop distributions unchanged.
The company acknowledged independent tools developed by community members but stated that they are outside its official recovery process. External DeFi positions are also handled according to the circumstances and options available to each protocol.
Users with submitted requests need take no further action unless official instructions require it. Their recovery status can be checked using the new destination address, while the compromised wallet remains unsafe for reuse.
