RealFi’s sUSDrf Reaches $2.7 Million Market Cap on Cardano
Token Terminal classifies sUSDrf as a tokenized fund share. The asset gives eligible holders exposure to variable returns from RealFi’s portfolio through a staking model built around its USDrf dollar token.

RealFi’s sUSDrf reached approximately $2.7 million in market capitalization, according to Token Terminal data, less than a month after the protocol launched on Cardano mainnet on October 1.
The token represents a position in RealFi’s staking vault and carries returns linked to a portfolio of real-world financial assets. Users receive sUSDrf by staking USDrf, the protocol’s base token designed to maintain a value of one U.S. dollar.
What the $2.7 Million Measures
The figure represents sUSDrf’s market capitalization. Token Terminal categorizes the asset as a tokenized fund share issued through RealFi Yield Ltd.
That measurement is separate from the total circulating value of USDrf and the net asset value of the underlying financial portfolio. It describes the value of circulating sUSDrf using the platform’s pricing methodology.
RealFi assigns distinct functions to its two tokens. USDrf serves as a dollar-denominated asset for payments, trading, and liquidity management. Staking it provides access to sUSDrf, which participates in portfolio returns and occupies a different position in the protocol’s loss hierarchy.
The market capitalization figure does not establish how many independent investors hold the token or how deposits are distributed among them.
How RealFi Delivers Portfolio Returns
RealFi’s documentation describes an investment strategy combining U.S. Treasuries and money market funds with credit instruments and private lending. More liquid holdings support withdrawals, while credit investments provide additional sources of income.
Returns are allocated through weekly staking epochs. The number of sUSDrf tokens in a holder’s wallet does not automatically increase. Instead, positive portfolio results can increase the amount of USDrf represented by each sUSDrf.
This differs from delegating ADA to Cardano stake pools. The income comes from RealFi’s financial portfolio rather than rewards for securing the blockchain.
Cardano supports token issuance, transfers, and staking transactions. Public records allow observers to inspect the USDrf held in the staking vault and its relationship to outstanding sUSDrf. Portfolio management, loan servicing, and enforcement of off-chain claims remain outside the network.

Withdrawal Terms and Loss Exposure
Participation in portfolio returns also exposes sUSDrf holders to losses. According to RealFi’s documentation, designated protocol reserves absorb losses first. If those reserves are insufficient, the sUSDrf layer absorbs remaining losses before USDrf holders are affected.
A loss reaching the staking layer can reduce the amount of USDrf redeemable per sUSDrf. The protection available to the base token depends on the reserves and staking pool when the loss occurs. Returns are variable, and neither token is an insured bank deposit.
Unstaking requires a seven-day cooldown. Selling through a decentralized exchange offers a separate exit route, subject to market pricing and available liquidity.
Direct USDrf minting and redemption require verification and eligibility checks. RealFi excludes users in the European Union, United Kingdom, United States, and other restricted jurisdictions; those conditions also apply when the product is accessed through an integrated wallet.
