Cardano News - Cardanoscan Adds Private Labels and Notes for Cardano Addresses

Cardanoscan has introduced personalization features that allow users to save private labels, notes and a watchlist to their accounts. The Cardano blockchain explorer announced the update on October 30, with sign-in available through a Cardano wallet, Google or email.

The features are available on each device where a user signs in. Cardanoscan also provides a console for managing saved items alongside account settings and API plans.

Private Labels and Notes on Cardanoscan

Users can assign a label to an individual address or use a stake address to name a whole wallet. According to Cardanoscan, a label attached to a stake address covers the addresses associated with it.

Labels appear on address and stake address pages, as well as next to addresses in transaction lists, search results and the watchlist. Users can also add notes to an address or transaction, such as a reminder of what a payment was for.

Cardanoscan stated that labels and notes are visible only to the user and are never published on the blockchain. They remain available through the account and on the relevant address or transaction page.

Account Access and Watchlist

Signing in with a Cardano wallet requires a message signature but does not send a blockchain transaction. Cardanoscan also supports sign-in through Google and email.

The watchlist can include addresses, stake pools, tokens and other pages. Users who previously saved starred items in their browser can move them to their account in one click.

The account console brings the watchlist, labels and notes together with a search function. It also includes API keys, pool claims and usernames, and allows users to buy or renew an API plan.

Trading Terminal Adds Token Swaps

The personalization update followed the October 28 launch of Cardanoscan’s Trading Terminal. The terminal combines token pair charts, market statistics and live trades with an integrated swap.

Users can compare a pair across decentralized exchanges by price, spread, volume and liquidity. Cardanoscan also lists order flow data, including buying and selling pressure, market depth and 24-hour volatility.

The swap displays quotes from Minswap and SteelSwap and compares offers after fees. Users can connect a wallet, review and sign an order on the page, then follow it until it fills. The terminal supports up to eight open tabs, each with its own trading pair and chart settings.
