Atlas Introduces BTC/USD Trading on Cardano
Perpetual contracts na derivatives wey no get fixed expiration date. Long position dey give trader exposure to price wey dey rise, while short position dey give exposure to price wey dey fall.
Atlas dey support market and limit orders, plus take-profit and stop-loss triggers. Im smart contracts dey written for Aiken, one language wey dem dey use build Cardano validators.
For BTC/USD for mainnet, Atlas documentation list minimum collateral requirement of 30 stablecoin units and maximum leverage of 5x. The platform still apply position size cap. For the Preprod test network, this same market allow leverage up to 50x and e no get separate position size cap.
Leverage dey allow users open position wey big pass the collateral wey dem deposit. Example, 30 stablecoin units at 5x leverage go create position of 150 units. Profit and loss dey calculate against the bigger position, and if price move against person, e fit lead to liquidation.
Trading Fees and Price Execution
Users need compatible Cardano wallet, stablecoin wey the selected market support, and ADA for transaction-related requirements. Atlas list Eternl and Lace among the compatible wallets.
For BTC/USD for mainnet, Atlas documentation list opening fee of 0.20% of the position size and Atlas order fee of 1 ADA. Cardano transaction fees dey separate. The figures na snapshot we check on November 2, and the project note say settings fit change.
Borrow fee still apply while position still open. Atlas dey calculate am using market-configured rate and completed five-minute holding periods, with the amount fixed when position close. Borrow fees dey flow enter the liquidity vault.
For each trading action, authorized operator dey supply the price. Cardano validators dey check conditions like price freshness, execution limits and leverage, while the market price itself depend on the operator’s pricing system.
To close position, e need two transactions. The first one dey fix the trading result and move the position enter pending payout state. Separate settlement transaction go update the vault and pay the resulting stablecoins to the user.

The project still offer ATLAS staking to collect share of configured protocol revenue. Under the documented mainnet settings, staking position go become eligible for rewards after 30 days. Unstaking dey burn 10% of position wey dem hold for less than 30 days, 1% from 30 to fewer than 60 days, and 0.2% after 60 days. Atlas talk say these values fit dey configured on-chain.
