World Mobile has published a June community update outlining recent developments across its decentralized mobile network ecosystem. The update covered the new AirNode platform, EarthNode progress, crypto payments, consumer-facing products, rewards functionality, new applications and market activity in the Philippines and the United States.
The update was presented by Mike Blake-Crawford, Chief Marketing Officer at World Mobile. In the video, Blake-Crawford reviewed several workstreams that have recently gone live or advanced, including AirNode software, improved reservation flows, the Network Builder Android app, Bitcoin Mobile, x402 payments, phone plan products, rewards functionality and Stratospheric testing plans.
World Mobile AirNode Platform Supports New Network Integrations
World Mobile said one of the major recent developments is the new AirNode platform, a software system built to support scale and future AirNode integrations globally. AirNodes are part of World Mobile’s decentralized physical infrastructure model, where participants can operate network equipment and take part in the connectivity economy.
According to the update, the new platform has already seen an integration from EMBA Node, which Blake-Crawford described as the first of many planned AirNode and node integrations on the platform. World Mobile also referenced an improved sales and reservation experience, including an updated checkout flow for AirNode reservations that went live last week.
The company connected the AirNode platform with upcoming market opportunities, including the Philippines and the United States. For the Philippines, Blake-Crawford referred to an earlier announcement involving a new deployment partner, with further details planned for the related community space.
EarthNode Progress Adds Backend and AI Infrastructure
The June update also covered progress on EarthNodes, including the Closed User Group, Agentic Ecosystem and Atmosphere Grid. Blake-Crawford said AI is moving into the EarthNode story, placing the node layer inside a broader infrastructure roadmap for World Mobile.
EarthNodes form part of World Mobile’s backend network architecture and are designed to support network operations beyond the physical AirNode layer. In the update, World Mobile grouped EarthNode progress with software systems, network infrastructure and future ecosystem capabilities.
The company also mentioned that it won the Best DePIN award at the Digital Commonwealth Awards. The award was included in the same recap alongside EarthNode development, partner opportunities and additional product work across the World Mobile ecosystem.
Crypto Payments, Apps and Phone Plans Move Into the Product Layer
World Mobile also highlighted several user-facing and payment-related developments. The Network Builder Android app has gone live to support progress hex operator enablement, while updates to the Network Builder affiliate program were also included in the recap. The company also referenced the launch of Bitcoin Mobile in partnership with Qentas.
Blake-Crawford said x402 payment integration has been added across the ecosystem, enabling crypto payments for World Mobile products. The update also included consumer-facing developments such as getworldmobile.com, a new phone plan sales funnel, improved phone plan account management and Premier Rewards points with voucher functionality.
According to the update, users participating in the rewards program can redeem vouchers from vendors including Amazon, Netflix, Spotify and YouTube. Blake-Crawford said the rewards store includes around one thousand available options.
World Mobile also linked the June update to its activity at MWC 2026 in Barcelona, where Stratospheric was presented as part of the company’s broader connectivity work. The recap mentioned partnership announcements with Britten-Norman, SkyMast development and testing planned for this summer at Adastral Park.
The June update brings several World Mobile workstreams into one public recap, from AirNode infrastructure and EarthNode development to payment integration, rewards, apps, market activity and Stratospheric testing. The next items named in the update are further AirNode integrations, additional Philippines market details, continued EarthNode-related progress and the summer testing phase connected to SkyMast and Stratospheric, with $WMTX remaining tied to the project’s broader DePIN network model.
