Midnight Aliit Program Produces Wallet, Android SDK and AI Privacy Tools

Midnight has published a closer look at Aliit, its technical fellowship for developers contributing code, tooling, documentation and technical education to the privacy-focused network. The August 31 update profiles Fellows Alex Pestchanker and Norman Lopez and documents several projects developed through their participation in the program.

Midnight operates as a privacy-focused partner chain in the broader Cardano ecosystem, using zero-knowledge technology and selective disclosure to let applications verify specific information without exposing all underlying data.

Aliit Moves Developers From Builder Tasks to Independent Projects

Aliit is structured around two stages, Builder and Fellow.

Builders complete technical and educational tasks covering documentation, bug fixes, technical writing and development across Midnight’s tooling. According to Midnight,

Builders need to reach 1,500 points through the program’s Zealy quests and complete at least one meaningful coding task before becoming eligible for Fellow review.

After reaching Fellow status, developers largely determine which technical problems they want to work on and report their contributions each month rather than following a fixed assignment list.

Technical contribution remains a core requirement. Midnight describes development work as the foundation of the fellowship, with tutorials, workshops, events and community support extending that work into developer education.

Previous zero-knowledge experience is not required. Pestchanker entered Aliit with experience across Cardano, Plutus and Aiken, while Lopez previously worked with EVM and Solana development before focusing on Midnight.

Midnight Wallet CLI and Android SDK Expand Developer Tooling

Several projects highlighted by Midnight have already moved beyond fellowship exercises.

Lopez developed the Midnight Wallet CLI, a command-line wallet that has recorded more than 3,000 npm downloads. The tool provides developers with a terminal-based way to interact with Midnight without relying on a conventional graphical wallet interface.

He also developed the Kuira SDK for Android, which brings Midnight-related privacy functionality to mobile applications. According to Midnight, the SDK can generate zero-knowledge proofs directly on an Android device without requiring a separate Proof Server or seed phrase during the process.

That gives Android developers a way to perform proof generation directly on the device when building applications around Midnight infrastructure.

Pestchanker has contributed to Midnight documentation and SDK tooling while developing Agentic Multipass, a project focused on selective-disclosure security for autonomous AI agents. His related Midnight Problem Statement was accepted as MPS-0029.

The project applies selective disclosure to software agents that may need to prove permissions or credentials without receiving unrestricted access to the underlying information.

Aliit Projects Move Into the Wider Midnight Developer Ecosystem

Aliit combines software development with technical support and developer education.

Fellows are expected to help other builders understand Midnight’s architecture, produce technical material and participate in developer communities. Pestchanker runs a bi-weekly Aliit Builder’s Hangout, while Lopez has demonstrated his work through the Midnight Foundation’s Fireside Dev Hang.

Midnight also reported that Lopez later received an offer to work as a Technical Moderator with its DevRel team and was invited to speak at Consensus Miami 2026.

The program remains open to new applicants, with eligibility centered on technical contribution, familiarity with Midnight and participation that supports other developers.

The projects profiled on August 31 now give Aliit three distinct examples of software extending beyond the fellowship itself: a developer-facing wallet interface, on-device zero-knowledge proof generation for Android and selective-disclosure infrastructure designed for autonomous AI agents. Each addresses a different layer of application development around Midnight, while NIGHT remains the network asset associated with the broader ecosystem.
