Cardano News - Lace Adds RealFi Staking to Cardano Wallet Ahead of USDrf Launch

Lace has added RealFi functionality to its browser extension ahead of the stablecoin platform’s planned mainnet launch. Version 2.4.0 introduces USDrf staking through the wallet’s Staking Center, giving eligible users a place to manage a position and follow its activity. The release turns an announced integration into a defined wallet feature, while RealFi’s production launch remains scheduled for October 1.

RealFi Positions Move Into Lace’s Staking Center

Lace’s release notes describe a dedicated screen for USDrf positions and rewards. Users can also see their R-Points balance, broken down by wallet account. When RealFi runs launch promotions such as Genesis Boost, Lace is designed to include them while they are active.

The function is restricted to eligible countries. Lace has published the staking interface, but its release does not establish that RealFi’s full mainnet service is already available.

USDrf Separates Dollar Liquidity From Staked Returns

RealFi describes USDrf as a dollar-denominated asset backed by a portfolio that includes U.S. Treasury bills, money market instruments, and credit assets. The liquid token is designed for holding and trading; its staked form is intended to give eligible users access to returns generated by the underlying portfolio.

R-Points are separate from those returns. They record participation in RealFi’s program and appear in Lace alongside the user’s position. RealFi states that the points have no monetary value and do not automatically entitle holders to its planned RFG governance token.

That distinction gives the new wallet display a practical role: users can follow their staked position, its rewards, and their program points without treating them as the same balance.

October Launch Sets the Scope of Live Access

RealFi plans to make USDrf available through partner decentralized exchanges when its Cardano mainnet product launches. Approved participants will have a separate direct mint and redemption route. The markets and eligibility rules active on October 1 will determine which users can put Lace’s new staking flow to work.

Lace has already delivered the wallet side of the integration: a staking entry point and account-level position tracking. RealFi’s mainnet launch is the next step needed to connect that interface to the production USDrf product on Cardano.
