Iagon Moves Node Network to Updated Software Requirements
Iagon has released updated node software for Windows, Linux and macOS, with affected operators required to migrate by August 12. The rollout also restores benchmarking and node tiers while addressing reputation and rewards impacted by the earlier benchmarking issue.

Iagon is moving its decentralized storage infrastructure to updated node software, setting August 12, 2026 at 21:45 UTC as the migration deadline for affected operators.
According to the project, operators that remain on earlier unsupported versions after the deadline will no longer meet the network’s current operating requirements and will be unable to participate. The update also affects delegators, benchmarking, node tiers and rewards from the period affected by the earlier benchmarking issue.
Iagon Releases Updated Node Software
The latest software versions listed by Iagon are 2.0.9 for Windows and Linux and 2.0.5 for macOS.
The migration requirement does not apply to every operator. Iagon specifically stated that Cyclone node operators and all other operators already running version 2.x.x do not need to take action.
Operators using versions that require migration have been asked to upgrade before the August 12 deadline rather than waiting until the end of the migration window.
Iagon is a decentralized cloud infrastructure project built on Cardano. Its network allows participants to provide storage resources through distributed nodes, creating an alternative infrastructure layer for storing data without relying exclusively on centralized cloud providers. Node operators supply resources to the network, while IAG is used within Iagon’s ecosystem.
Delegators May Need to Review Their Node
The software transition also has implications for IAG delegators.
Iagon said operators will receive an initial period to complete the upgrade. Delegators have been asked to monitor the status of the node they support and may need to reassess or move their delegation if the selected operator has not migrated within the recommended timeframe.
After the deadline, earlier unsupported node versions will no longer be compatible with the network’s current operating requirements and will be unable to participate.
The migration therefore affects both sides of Iagon’s node infrastructure. Operators need compatible software to continue participating, while delegators need visibility into whether the nodes they support remain active under the updated requirements.
Benchmarking, Tiers and Rewards Return With the Migration
The rollout also addresses Iagon’s benchmarking system.
Iagon said benchmark results and node tiers will return to the dashboard no later than Monday. Reputation, tiers and rewards covering the period affected by the previous benchmarking issue will also be reviewed and corrected as part of the migration process.
During the initial rollout, tier results may vary between epochs. Iagon said it will collect performance data from the new node versions and may refine its benchmarking and tier algorithms where necessary.
The migration combines the software transition with the restoration of benchmarking, node tiers and corrections to previously affected reputation and reward records.
After the deadline, Iagon’s active storage network will operate under the updated software requirements, while delegators will have a clear indication of whether the nodes they support remain eligible to participate.
