Giorgio Zinetti go step down as Chief Technology Officer for the Cardano Foundation on August 31, 2026, and that one go end him tenure wey start for May 2024.

Zinetti don lead Cardano Foundation technology since 2024

Cardano Foundation appoint Zinetti as CTO on May 8, 2024, put am in charge of the organization technical leadership, to expand project and product pipeline, and to use open-source development for enterprise blockchain technology.

Before im join the Foundation, Zinetti co-found and serve as CTO for Swiss digital identity company Procivis, and before that im work as software engineer for UBS.

During im tenure, the Foundation expand several enterprise and technical initiatives, including Reeve, their platform for verifiable financial reporting, and Veridian, their decentralized identity infrastructure.

Zinetti provide executive-level technical oversight, while individual products and engineering areas dey operate under their dedicated leads.

Reeve, Veridian and IBC get their own leadership

Several initiatives wey dem develop or expand during Zinetti tenure still dey under their existing operational and engineering leadership.

Reeve dey connect enterprise accounting systems with Cardano to create verifiable on-chain records of financial events. The Foundation don use the platform for their own financial reporting and for July dem announce one pilot with Germany-based Reef Data eG wey cover payment flows and member reward distribution. Cleopatra Martins dey serve as Finance Product Lead for Reeve.

Veridian, the Foundation open-source decentralized identity platform, dey inside their identity organization wey Thomas A. Mayfield, Head of Decentralized Trust and Identity Solutions, dey lead.

Cardano interoperability work self dey operate under separate engineering function. For early August, Cardano Preprod connect with the Injective testnet through IBC infrastructure.
