Cardano News - DRepTalk Bring CIP-179 Surveys come Cardano Mainnet

DRepTalk release version 1.4.0 on September 12 with support for CIP-179 surveys on Cardano mainnet. DReps fit now find survey wey link to governance action, respond through compatible wallet and submit the answer as Cardano transaction.

CIP-179 Surveys Join Governance Discussions

CIP-179 define format to publish surveys and responses through transaction metadata. The on-chain record fit include eligible roles, the closing epoch and the structure of each question, so that people fit read and count responses independently.

The proposal still dey for Proposed status, but DRepTalk don already implement am. The platform dey retrieve surveys through Tessera, the CIP-179 reference implementation, and e connect them with governance actions wey dem import into DRepTalk.

Eligible surveys go appear beside their related governance discussions and go get separate threads inside the new Surveys category. The platform only include surveys wey link to imported action and open to DRep participation.

Responses Are Signed Through Cardano Wallets

DRep must sign in with the corresponding identity and connect wallet wey hold the same DRep key. DRepTalk go assemble the transaction for the browser before e send am go the wallet for signing and submission.

Private keys no dey reach the platform. No deposit dey required, although each response carry network fee and require CIP-95-capable wallet. Script-based DReps, including multisignature representatives, fit join discussions but no fit currently submit survey responses through the feature.

Standard surveys go permanently expose the DRep credential, role and answers. Sealed surveys go keep answers encrypted until the scheduled reveal time, while the credential and role still remain public. Later response fit replace earlier one while the survey still open.

Survey responses dey separate from formal governance votes and no dey affect the linked action’s tally. Because CIP-179 no define weighting or aggregation, DRepTalk dey display participation totals without publishing im own result.

Analytics Connect DReps With Delegators

Version 1.4.0 still introduce analytics hub wey cover voting power concentration, DRep activity, stake pool operator and Constitutional Committee participation, voting timelines and governance outcomes.

The new My DRep page allow ADA holders to review their representative record from the date of delegation. Individual profiles now include activity report cards, while Governance Review dey summarize decisions and shifts in voting power across defined epoch windows.

DRepTalk now connect governance proposals with related surveys, signed responses and representative records. DReps fit document positions outside the formal vote tally, while delegators fit compare those responses with the voting history wey attach to their delegated ADA.
