Dano Finance Accounted for 91% of Cardano DEX Volume Last Week
DefiLlama data shows Dano Finance generated about $73.4 million of Cardano’s $80.3 million seven-day DEX volume. The activity was heavily concentrated in one protocol, while Dano’s latest daily volume has already fallen back below Minswap and SundaeSwap.

Cardano recorded roughly $80.3 million in decentralized exchange volume over the past seven days, with Dano Finance responsible for approximately $73.4 million of that total. The figures give Dano about 91.5% of Cardano’s reported seven-day DEX activity on DefiLlama, despite the protocol holding around $3.43 million in total value locked.
The concentration extends across the 30-day window. Dano generated $159.31 million of Cardano’s $189.83 million total, equivalent to almost 84%. The latest 24-hour rankings, however, show that the earlier volume wave has already cooled sharply.
Dano Finance Dominated Cardano’s Recent DEX Data
Dano Finance developed from the former Danogo bond marketplace and now combines bond trading with lending, swaps, concentrated liquidity and other DeFi products on Cardano.
DefiLlama currently records $73.43 million in seven-day DEX volume for Dano. SundaeSwap follows with $3.11 million, while Minswap has $1.85 million and WingRiders $1.77 million.
The 30-day comparison is similarly concentrated. Dano’s $159.31 million stands against $17.34 million for SundaeSwap, $7.25 million for Minswap and $5.67 million for WingRiders.
Dano’s recent trading volume is also high relative to its liquidity base. With approximately $3.43 million in TVL, its seven-day volume represents more than 21 times the value currently locked in the protocol.
That ratio does not establish how the activity was generated. Neither the available Dano data nor DefiLlama provides a market-level explanation attributing the spike to a specific token pair, bond product, incentive campaign or trading strategy.
DefiLlama Does Not Break Down the Source of the Volume
DefiLlama classifies Dano Finance under its DEX category and describes its methodology as measuring spot-token swap volume. Its protocol description still references trading bond tokens issued by Optim, reflecting Dano’s original product focus.
The public DefiLlama volume adapter does not calculate Dano activity by directly parsing specified Cardano smart contract events.
Instead, the adapter calls a Dano gateway endpoint and retrieves a field named dailyVolumeAdaValue. That ADA-denominated value is then added to DefiLlama’s daily volume metric.
The adapter does not expose a breakdown by trading pair or product. It therefore does not show how much of the recent volume came from bond trading, conventional swaps, multi-hop routes or other activity available through the platform.
There is also no primary-source evidence establishing wash trading, duplicated volume or self-trading as the cause of the spike. The high volume-to-TVL ratio and the gateway-based reporting method describe characteristics of the dataset, not evidence of manipulation.
Cardano DEX Activity Has Already Returned to Lower Daily Levels
The current 24-hour rankings look very different from the seven-day totals.
Dano is reporting about $67,360 in daily DEX volume, compared with approximately $186,961 for Minswap and $123,497 for SundaeSwap. Cardano’s total 24-hour DEX volume is about $446,000.
DefiLlama also shows Cardano’s latest seven-day DEX volume only 0.61% above the previous seven-day period. That means earlier percentage figures describing an explosive week-over-week increase no longer reflect the current comparison.
The current dataset therefore documents a concentrated volume wave rather than an ongoing ecosystem-wide acceleration. Dano Finance accounted for most of Cardano’s reported DEX activity across the seven-day and 30-day windows, but its latest daily share has already dropped substantially.
Until Dano or DefiLlama publishes a market-level breakdown, the available data establishes the scale and concentration of that volume, but not which trades or products produced it.
