Chatsoon Builds Cardano Staking Into Event Networking

Peter Bui has released Chatsoon 1.2 for beta testing on iOS and Android. Originally created to capture networking and CRM data at TOKEN2049, the application now combines contact scanning, private notes, and follow-up tools in one mobile workflow.

Bui is a Cardano and Midnight ambassador, the creator of CardanoPress, and the founder of Moshi Concepts.

Chatsoon 1.2 Expands the Event Networking Workflow

Chatsoon is designed for conferences, meetups, and other events where participants exchange many contacts within a short period.

Version 1.2 is the project’s largest update so far. Users can sign in with Apple, Google, LinkedIn, or Discord, while email-based access remains available.

Users can share their profiles through a QR code. The recipient can open the public profile without installing Chatsoon, while a confirmation screen identifies the person connected to the code before the contact is saved.

Profiles can include a mobile number, WhatsApp, Signal, social accounts, and a Calendly or similar booking link. Users control which details appear on their public pages.

On iPhone, a Chatsoon QR card can be added to Apple Wallet and accessed from the lock screen. The Google Wallet integration is awaiting Google’s approval, and the current card may display TEST in its name.

iOS users can access the beta through TestFlight. Android testers join the project’s Google group before installing the application through Google Play. Bui has asked Android participants to keep the application installed for at least 14 days as part of Google’s testing requirements.

AI Scanning Turns Business Cards Into Active Contacts

Chatsoon can photograph a paper business card or event badge and use AI to extract the available contact information. Version 1.2 improves scanning accuracy and places additional recognized details inside the contact’s private notes.

Users can assign a priority to each contact and schedule a follow-up. Chatsoon identifies contacts that are due for a response and prepares a message draft based on the saved notes. The message can then be sent through WhatsApp, SMS, email, or LinkedIn.

Private notes and internal tags remain visible only to the user, while the public profile displays the information selected for sharing. The application also supports offline use in venues with limited or congested internet access.

Bui initially described Chatsoon as a simple application for networking and CRM data capture at TOKEN2049. Development later expanded to include connected social accounts, booking links, Wallet cards, badge scanning, profile verification, and automated follow-ups.

The web application is already live. Bui also published a mobile PageSpeed test in which Chatsoon received scores of 100 for performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO.

Crypto Wallets and Cardano Staking Enter Development

Bui reported on September 28 that Chatsoon was close to reaching its planned feature set. After completing the remaining additions, he plans to shift development toward bug fixes.

The features currently being added include crypto wallet connections and automatic Cardano staking.

Bui is already known in the Cardano ecosystem as the creator of CardanoPress, a WordPress plugin that supports Cardano wallet connections, ADA payments, token and NFT verification, and stake pool delegation. The plugin has recorded more than 9,000 downloads.

His company, Moshi Concepts, is also developing Hokan, a noncustodial escrow and stablecoin payment infrastructure focused initially on Cardano. Bui participated in the Draper University Genesis program and hosts the Learn Cardano and Learn Crypto Podcast.
