Cardano Perpetual Futures Go Live on Kalshi and Polymarket
Kalshi and Polymarket have added ADA perpetual contracts, giving traders two new routes to leveraged Cardano price exposure through different derivatives market structures.
By SongMarketCap
Cardano perpetual futures are now available on both Kalshi and Polymarket following separate derivatives expansions in early September. The additions allow traders to take long or short positions tied to ADA without holding the underlying asset, extending Cardano’s presence across U.S. regulated derivatives infrastructure and global perpetual futures markets.
Kalshi Adds Cardano Perpetual Futures
Kalshi added Cardano alongside BNB, Aave, Worldcoin and Venice Token to its cryptocurrency perpetual futures lineup.
The contracts are margined and settled in U.S. dollars and have no fixed expiration date. Kalshi operates as a Designated Contract Market regulated by the U.S.
Commodity Futures Trading Commission, while its contracts are cleared through Kalshi Klear, its regulated clearinghouse.
The ADA contract gives eligible U.S. traders another way to gain Cardano price exposure through federally regulated derivatives infrastructure without purchasing or custodying native Cardano assets.
Polymarket Expands Perps to Cardano
Polymarket launched its Perps product on September 3, initially offering 10 markets before expanding across cryptocurrencies, stocks, indices and commodities.
The platform currently lists 67 perpetual markets, including 24 cryptocurrency contracts. Cardano appears alongside assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB, XRP and Aave.
Polymarket Perps provide leveraged long and short exposure without expiration, with cryptocurrency markets supporting leverage of up to 20 times. The product operates separately from Polymarket’s prediction markets and is not available to U.S. traders.
Cardano Gains New External Derivatives Access
The Kalshi and Polymarket additions expand the financial infrastructure surrounding Cardano without changing how the network itself operates.
Perpetual futures do not provide ownership of native ADA and cannot be used for staking, governance or Cardano DeFi. Instead, they add tools for leveraged trading, short exposure and hedging around Cardano’s market price.
That distinguishes the launches from conventional spot listings, which primarily expand access to the underlying asset.
Cardano is now represented across two different derivatives environments at the same time: Kalshi brings ADA into regulated U.S. perpetual futures infrastructure, while Polymarket places it inside a global multi-asset trading platform spanning crypto and traditional markets.
