Cardano News - Cardano Opens TOKEN2049 Stage to Ecosystem Projects

Cardano Foundation has opened applications for projects seeking to represent the ecosystem at TOKEN2049 Singapore on October 7 and 8. Applications close on August 25, with the selected projects scheduled to be announced on September 1.

Selected Projects Receive Stage and Travel Support

Cardano will attend TOKEN2049 as a Platinum sponsor, with a dedicated builder stage for 20 ecosystem projects. Selected teams will present live to developers, investors, enterprises, media representatives and other blockchain organizations attending the conference.

Each project can nominate one representative. Cardano Foundation will reimburse an economy-class return flight up to $2,000 and as many as three nights of accommodation from October 6 to October 8, capped at $350 per night.

Participants must book and pay for their travel in advance. Reimbursement will be processed after the event once flight and hotel receipts have been submitted with the required participation report.

Traction and Presentation Quality Drive Selection

Projects will be assessed on readiness and traction, their ability to contribute to event objectives, portfolio balance across categories and geographies, and presentation quality.

The application requests information about product stage, on-chain activity, total value locked, monthly transactions and active wallets. Cardano Foundation may compare self-reported figures with public sources where possible.

Teams must describe what they intend to present, whether the session will include a live demonstration and what the audience should take away. Applicants must also submit presentation materials and explain how they plan to generate activity during the event and maintain engagement over the following 30 days.

Selected representatives must attend briefing and debriefing calls, present at the assigned time and consent to the recording of their sessions.

TOKEN2049 Participation Includes Measured Outcomes

Projects must report results within 30 days of TOKEN2049. The required metrics include leads generated, partnership discussions initiated, new Cardano wallet sign-ups where applicable, media coverage and on-chain transactions directly attributable to conference contacts.

Cardano’s TOKEN2049 presence continued after the original joint plan for Cardano Summit 2026 and conference sponsorship was separated through governance. The Summit proposal failed to reach the required approval threshold, while a smaller standalone TOKEN2049 initiative requesting approximately 3.3 million ADA was approved.

Cardano Foundation subsequently took responsibility for delivering the booth. The final structure connects project selection, travel reimbursement and post-event reporting, requiring the 20 participating teams to document whether their Singapore presentations produced new business conversations, users and measurable on-chain activity.
