Cardano Node 11.2.0 Pre-Release Add Dijkstra Features for Testing
The release introduces a new configuration format and expands the node’s interface for applications. Wallet providers and infrastructure teams will also need to account for changes to node-to-client compatibility.

Intersect don release Cardano Node 11.2.0 as pre-release on October 28, add tools wey go support Dijkstra-era transactions plus changes for node operators and developers. Dem never recommend make people use am for Cardano mainnet yet.
Di software be part of di preparation for Dijkstra, Cardano next ledger era. Linear Leios still dey under development alongside dis work and e no active for dis release.
Dijkstra Transactions and Plutus V4
Node 11.2.0 extend support for Dijkstra transactions across several Cardano tools. Di command-line interface, cardano-cli, now support sub-transactions and guard credentials, wey define authorization requirements for one transaction.
Sub-transactions na part of Cardano nested transaction design, wey allow multiple transactions to join together inside one batch. Under dis design, top-level transaction fit cover fees or collateral for di transactions wey e contain.
Di cardano-submit-api service, wey dey submit transactions to di network, fit accept Dijkstra transactions too. Dis release add cost model for Plutus functions wey relate to CIP-0168.
According to di release notes, Plutus V4 ready to use when protocol version 12 dey active. Di available primitives wey e get for now match wetin earlier Plutus versions for mainnet get, and new primitives dey planned for later release.
Configuration and Compatibility Changes
Node 11.2.0 dey read im settings through di cardano-config library and e support new versioned configuration format. Di release also add commands to convert, inspect and check configuration files.
Existing configurations for di older flat format still compatible with Node 11.2.0. But di network configuration files wey dem distribute with dis new release dey use di updated format and nodes wey older pass version 11.2 no fit read dem.
Di release also remove support for node-to-client protocol versions wey older pass V_23. Wallets, indexers and other tools wey dey use dat interface must build with network libraries wey support V_23, wey don dey available since Node 10.7.0.
Di gRPC interface, wey applications fit use access node data, don expand too. E fit now listen over TCP using HTTP/2, with optional TLS protection. New methods allow applications to read and monitor di mempool, where transactions dey wait make dem include dem inside blocks.

DijkstraNet and the Path to Node 11.3
Di release dey support preparations for DijkstraNet, di public test network wey dem intend for Dijkstra integration work. When di network reopen for October, e bin dey run Node 11.1.3 for di Conway era ahead of planned transition to protocol version 12.
Intersect don earlier outline say Node 11.2 na di release wey carry di Dijkstra feature set without Linear Leios. Di organization plan for Node 11.3 na to bring di Dijkstra and Leios work together inside one hard fork release candidate.
Node 11.2.0 include groundwork for both Leios and Ouroboros Peras, with those components disabled by default. Im release notes also introduce new default ledger snapshot policy wey go produce one snapshot per day for mainnet.
