Cardano News - Cardano Foundation Sponsors 25 Places in UNIC Blockchain Course

Cardano Academy Contributes to UNIC’s Curriculum

Cardano Academy is contributing a teaching session to the University of Nicosia’s online Blockchain and Digital Assets course, with the Cardano Foundation funding 25 places in its Advanced Track.

The Academy’s latest enrollment reminder outlines instruction on Cardano fundamentals and the extended unspent transaction output model, known as eUTxO. Learners will also receive reading materials and an opportunity to ask questions during a live Q&A.

The session introduces the transaction model underlying Cardano applications, explaining how the network handles inputs, outputs, and associated data.

The contribution belongs to UNIC’s fall 2026 program. The university had already included Cardano’s participation and sponsorships in its September announcement, making the approaching enrollment deadline the immediate reason for the renewed invitation.

What the Sponsored Places Cover

UNIC offers a free Introductory Track covering weeks one through eight. The Advanced Track includes that foundation and continues through week 12, with a standard upgrade price of €199.

The 25 Cardano sponsorships provide complimentary access to the Advanced Track. They cover participation in the course rather than a cash award or tuition for UNIC’s separate master’s degree.

Advanced modules cover NFTs and digital ownership, digital asset regulation, blockchain scaling, and the convergence of blockchain with artificial intelligence and connected devices.

Successful Advanced Track learners receive a blockchain-verifiable certificate, alongside extended access to course materials and additional community resources.

Enrollment Closes November 2

The published syllabus lists Cardano Foundation technical writer John Greene alongside Apostolos Kourtis for the session on Ethereum and programmable blockchains.

Other industry contributors include representatives from Ripple, Avalanche, and Trezor. Their sessions sit within a university-directed curriculum covering blockchain technology, financial applications, security, and policy.

UNIC retains responsibility for the program’s academic content, assessment, and certification. Cardano Academy supplies specialist instruction within that broader framework.

Prospective learners can register through UNIC’s course application page. The Academy’s reminder gives November 2 as the enrollment deadline, while the published sponsorship information does not specify how the 25 recipients will be selected.
